Our Deck Projects
My wife and I decided to go with wood decking instead of using pavers or concrete slabs for our "Outdoor Living Area".  We felt the wood was easier to work with, could be done in sections and I have some experience with woodworking.

Many of my friends have volunteered materials, time, sweat, blood and resources to help us accomplish our goal of creating a place to get away from the stress of the day and relax.  My wife loves the sun so the first deck we built is 16' x 14" and has no cover. Now I like the sun, but enough is enough :)

The access deck was build after we installed our pool, it gave us a safe place to enter and exit the pool. It also would serve as the splash deck for the pool surround deck that we add to it at a later date.

The next project was to fill in the grass area between my original deck and the pool, joining the sections together gave us plenty of extra area to work with. This also opened up the flow of the existing deck, removing a closed in feeling we got from the main deck.
